How to Use Instagram on Firestick
Instagram is not available in the official Amazon app store. So to install the Instagram app, you can follow any one of the below methods.
- Using the Downloader app.
- Using Screencast.
How to Install Instagram on Firestick using the Downloader app
To sideload an Android app to Firestick, your device must support installing apps from unknown sources installation. Turn on unknown sources installation by navigating to Settings –> My Fire TV –> Developer options –> Apps from Unknown Sources-> Turn on.
Step 1: In the Home screen, select the Lens icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 2: With the help of remote type Downloader in the search box.
Step 3: Click on the official Downloader app as highlighted in the image below.
Step 4: In the next screen, click Get or Download button to download and install the app.
Step 5: After installation is completed, the download button will be replaced Open button. Now click the Open button.
Step 6: Make sure to tick the Enable JavaScript option for a better browsing experience.
Step 7: In the URL box, enter the apk download URL (https://bit.ly/3h1RcZN)
Step 8: The download size of the apk file is 37MB, wait for the application to be downloaded.
Step 9: Click Install button in the popup window.
Step 10: To launch the app on your Firestick device, click Open button.
Step 11: Sign In with your Instagram account and start using it on your Firestick device.
How to Use Instagram on Firestick using Screencast
Step 1: Switch on the Firestick device.
Step 2: In the welcome screen, select the Mirroring option.

Step 3: Alternatively, you can also turn it on by navigating to Settings -> Display & Sounds -> Display Mirroring.
Step 4: A loading screen will appear as shown in the image below, searching for nearby devices.
Step 5: In your Android smartphone, swipe down the notifications panel and click on the Screencast option.
Step 6: A popup will appear showing all the nearby devices that are available to cast.
Step 7: Click on the Firestick device and wait for few seconds to let the devices to be paired.
Step 8: Open the Instagram app on your phone and now it will be casted on your TV.

These are the two methods to use Instagram on Firestick. Using the app directly on your Firestick device, as we saw in the first method, might make you feel uncomfortable as you can only scroll or do anything with the help of a remote.
